Dag 1 Van Aken naar Vaals-3 landenpunt en via Lemiers-Banheide-Simpelveld-Ubachsberg naar Voerendaal toch nog 40 km. Voor een vrijdagmiddag een leuke tocht.
Dag 2 Van Maastricht-Eijsden-Mesch ook weer 45 km. Waar de serie van kapelaan Odekerke is opgenomen eind jaren 70.
Het verhaal ' dagboek van een herdershond ' speelde zich af in het Geleen van 1914 tot 1924, de opkomst van de mijnbouw.
Geleen is nu een flinke stad en Mesch is nog klein en oud, leeft nog in het verleden.
Verder door de Voerstreek in België om verder naar het oosten weer de grens over te steken naar Nederland bij Ulvend, dit ligt behoorlijk hoog om dan af te zakken naar Slenaken, klimment en dalend naar Mechelen. Hier na 2 uur regen werd het uiteidelijk droog.
Via Wittem-Eys-Trintelen en Ubachsberg kwam ik weer bij dochter en kleinkinderen te Voerendaal.
Dag 3 Bij zon en uitgezwaaid door kleinzoon verliet ik Voerendaal naar Melick 52km.
Langs het grote kasteel van Hoensbroek naar Doenrade en een stuk door Duitsland iets richting noord-oost op Roermond aan.
Deze dag was het mooi weer, heerlijk rijden over veel landbouwwegen en bospaden en alles ruikt zo lekker!
Maandag 26 july dag 4 op naar Horst ong. 44km.
Dag 5 op naar Nijmegen, wel meer dan 50km, dus even zien of ik dat haal.
Daar ga ik met de trein weer naar Breda voor de 70e verjaardag van mijn broer, alsook de grote voorbereiding voor vertrek op 1 Aug. Van Nijmegen naar Harlingen waarvoor ik deze week in Voerendaal al een overnachting aangeboden kreeg door Friese vakantiegangers.
